The fierce solar heat of 2003 has produced a set of uniquely powerful wines in Châteauneuf - given the outstanding winemaking talents of growers like Laurence Feraud, Alain and Baptiste Grangeon and Jean-Marc Diffonty. An old-vine cuvée from Janasse in the gorgeously classical vintage of 1998 provides a little vintage variety.
