He has been described by Parker as at the top of his game, the old vines of Jean-Pierre Daumen's ancestral estate express the excellence of terroir and vintage. A small estate that's reputation of attention to detail produces world wide appreciation and following. Those privileged enough to taste Vieille Julienne Reserve will know that it is only produced in certain years, it's only after some discussion at harvest time that will decide to release these spectacular wines. The 2001 Vieille Vignes is the last vintage of this cuvee as from now on they will be described as CDP, only if it's an exceptional vintage will it be described as Reserve. A collection of six examples from what might be described as Châteauneuf's highest flying domains.
